Swap this for That: Fresh Berries for Frozen Berries

Fresh vs. frozen berries is a great example of where price is the only difference and why my freezer is full of multiple bags of frozen berries all year round. 

When you choose frozen over fresh you’re in no way reducing the level of nutrients, but yet you are saving money. Blueberries are amazing and are one of my favorite fruits and are widely accepted as being a ‘super food’. They are rich in antioxidants making them a great addition to any diet. They are full of fiber, are a low GI fruit and have anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial for the body. Basically they are super berries and are an amazing addition to any diet.

Keep a bag in the freezer to ensure you always have blueberries available to throw into smoothies, sprinkle on top of your muesli or have as a quick nutrient rich snack.
