DIY: New year, new you, new 2015 inspirational board
Imagine spending the day, guilt free looking at pinterest, flicking through endless piles of magazines or simply searching for anything that sparks that creative energy which inspires you to greatness. I’m talking about creating an inspiration board. Something that makes you feel motivated, happy and inspired and that will help keep your goals on track.
Yes, I love pinterest, and yes, maybe this is just another excuse to spend hours on pinterest, but seriously who doesn’t want to surround themselves with all things inspirational. If that means I have to sit and scroll through pinterest to find what inspires me then I will not stop until my board is complete, and I encourage you to join me.
My inspiration board is right where I need it most… in my office. I love that when I’m in need of an extra push, or some inspiration, all I have to do is look up at my inspiration board and take in all the amazing photos, images, quotes or goals. It gets me back on track (the odd time though I do end up back on pinterest…ooops).
Now this is definitely more of a girl’s tool for boosting us into action, but I do know that my boyfriend is not against the board, as it does have a few pics of beautiful girls in workout gear or practicing yoga pinned on it. Let’s just say the men in your life won’t be too upset if you need to hang it somewhere more public than just your office!
There’s really no secret or right way to go about this. All you need is a pin board or chalkboard. I got mine from kikki.k and then start pinning and adding to it. I don’t think I have ever stopped adding to mine as new things constantly inspire me. I love being around positive energy and anything that helps me to stay on track and to focus on my goals is a good thing, don’t you agree?
Some ideas for what to pin on your board could include:
- Quotes or inspiring words
- Pictures (healthy food, workout gear, things that make you smile or laugh etc)
- Images of your goals
- Post it notes with encouraging words or affirmations
My favorite pinterest accounts that I constantly pin from are:
- Lorna Jane
- Deliciously ella
- My new roots
- Valeria ramierz
- Storm & India Tea Sisters
As you can see anything goes as long as it inspires you. I encourage you to give it a go. If an inspiration board doesn’t sound like you, or if you want to keep it more private, try building an online inspiration board through Pinterest. Check out my 2015 pinterest inspiration board for some ideas.
Here are some photos that inspire and encourage me to be my best, to eat healthy clean food, and to move my body every day. I hope they inspire you to do the same
